New( to aggresive tanks)

I have my old 30 gallon just sitting in my attic now that I have my 46. Would the 30 be big enough to have an aggressive tank? I was thinking some kind of trigger and a Lion fish and go from there. If its not big enough I will just sell it or give it to my friend, he wants to set up a fresh water tank in his new apartment.

That's too small for those fish. When you say aggressive do you mean a fish that eats other fish or are just mean. You could probably get away with putting a medium size maroon clown in there and a flame hawk. There pretty mean.

Were you saying it was to small for the lion and trigger? Give some suggestions and I will see if I like the looks of them. I was hoping for a Volitan Lionfish but it looks like thats not going to happen.

Hmm, not looking like I want to mess with it then. Would a 55 be big enough for a lion? My dads friend wants to set6 up a tank and someone gave him a 55 so maybe he will trade me for the 30 and I set it up for him. I will see tommarow.

A 55g would be ok for a small lion for maybe a 2 years max but will not be in the long run. These guys get pretty big and have some big ole stingers that will get any other fish in the tank. One stab from those things and the fish is a goner.

O, sounding like a lost cause now, I would rather just put more money into making my reef better. Sounds like I might be selling this tank now that it is cleaned up and setting up a sump.

Could set the 30 up as a display fuge. I will play with some Ideas see what I have to spend and go from there.
Thanks for your help Sean.
