New to Corals...need soem help please

I just added some soft corals to my tank for the first time and I'm a little worried about them.

I added a group of polyps about 24hrs ago and they have yet to open up.

What is the normal time that it usually takes for them to settle in to a new tank and open up? I've placed them as low as I can in the tank to start off with and planned on moving them once they settled in.

Any advice on making sure they are cared for properly would be great!!

We need a little more info about your tank and what kind of polyps you have. If you have polyps than they are not really considered softies. Also give them time to adjust and settle in to their new home.

I'm new to SW too and the corals I've added so far have all opened up with time. The first couple - my xenia and zoas - opened up pretty quickly, while another zoa frag, my green star polyps, and my kenya tree took a few days to get used to the new environment.
