New to hobby... looking for help

I have a 15 gallon tank. 19lbs of LR. Bio Wheel 200 filter. I am planning on a fish only.

I've read and searched but I'm not sure if I need a skimmer or not. I would like to know what skimmer I should get. Do I need a pump in the tank?

I was hoping on getting a clown, shrimp and some other type of fish in the tank if possible.

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Regardless fish only or a reef i would get a skimmer. it helps with keeping the tank clean and pulls out all the nasty biological waste...

i would remove the bio wheel, and any media in it and just run the filter empty.

i would also add another powerhead to the tank, something small, you don't need to move a ton of water.

skimmer i would look into the Aqua C Remora, CPR Bakpak, Coralife SS65, ASM Mini, or the Aqua C Nanoremora, but the nanoremora isn't out yet, and i don't think Aqua C has set a release date.

also, FWIW...with a small FOWLR like this i think you can get away without a skimmer, just doing weekly water changes of ~10-20%.
