New to hobby

My name is Michael Bauer. I live just outside of Fort Wayne and I am new to this hobby. I just recently purchased a 29 gal BioCube. I am looking to become an active member of the FWMAS. If anyone can give me a little more information on how to become a member it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help! Mike
 
I have been to the website a few times, is that all the information on there or am I missing something. It just looks like you pay 15 bucks and your a member?
 
yea I have quite a bit of experience with the biocube if you ever have any quiestions. I have done a couple hqi conversions as well. Oh welcome.....

You are more than welcome to come to any of our meetings for free. Our meetings are always free and open to anyone who is interested. By becoming a paid member you get the right to vote on certain club issues, and you get discounts at a few of the local shops. But you do not have to become a paid member, totally up to you.
 
How are you liking the bio cube? I assume you are the one that just bought it from Klaus over the weekend.
 
I hope that you love the hobby! Welcome ! This saturday there will be quite a few of us at the coral reef for the drawing why don't you stop by?!

Yes, I am the one that bought the used cube from Klaus. I am enjoying it very much. I went back up on Sunday and bought my first fish as well. It was a false percula. It is exciting to see something swimming around instead of just looking at live rocks. I wish it was something you could just go out and by all of the fish you want and put them in the tank. I have learned to understand that it is a slow process though. It is nice meeting everyone and I plan on coming to a meeting in the near future.
 
Welcome Michael! Nice to see another new person on the boards. If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to ask them on the boards or at the meetings. I think you will find that everyone in the club is very willing to share what they know.
