New to me tank

I just purchased a used IM 10 from a guy locally. He said he only had it a month and has to get rid of it since he is moving. Whatever. My question is this. The tank reeks of cheap cigarettes. I cleaned it with vinegar and it did help reduce the smell, but its not gone. Also, I cant get my hands all the way down in the back chambers to clean it out. Will this be an issue once I get some fish and coral in there?

Fishes must be Smoking. They must be using as a Reef Ashtray. Quit Reef. Sorry Quit Smoking.

Jokes apart...keep it under water for some days in sun and see what happens. Vinegar is best though.

the more expensive cigarette smoke comes out easier . back when you can smoke in bars (maybe thats a Jersey thing, not sure) there was a local one with a reef tank in it. I smelled like an ashtray when I got out of that place but it didn't bother the fish.

I didn't think about that, makes sense. I feel better about it now. Just wish that salt would hurry up and get here...
