new to Nano

ok im looking at making my own tank and using my knolage from my 90 gal and going with the best set up i think i could use


the total tank will be 24*12 with the tank the split at the 18" mark and use the back part for the filter.. using a sump and fug area with skimmer

i was thinking of using a maxi-jet 1200 or a Azoo 600 and making them external and having them run through a scwd with the lockline ends ... do you need the tool to put those together or can you just push them together


i was going to get a skimmer . the fission nano skimmer

do those work or is it a wast of money


for the lighting im not sure yet maybe PC or T-5
not to sure on the MH for the nano i think the 150watt would be a little much

So wait is the tank going to be 24 inches wide if your going to divide it at 18 inches? How long and tall?

I've heard way more bad than I have good about the fission nano skimmer, so I would try to stay away from that.

A lot of people use MHs on nanos and are fine. 150w should be plenty, but not too much overkill.

hmm...can't wait to see the tank.

I was recommended a AquaC Remora Skimmer for my 10g. I have also heard tons of good things about them before hand. So you can't go wrong with one of those.
