I purchased my JBJ 12 gal DX setup from All About Fish in Pleasant Hill. I think they still carry them. Ask for Bob. I haven't upgraded the light and everything seems to be developing nicely.

Hi there. I actually found a pretty good deal on a used setup that will allow me have MH for the same price as if I were to go with the new setup. So, i've decided to go that route.

Thanks to everyone for their help! I am in the process of aquiring a new tank, then i'm probably going to pre-order the JBJ 70w halide clamp-on light instead of doing the hood mod, I like this look a little better, just have to find inhabitants that aren't jumpy.

I've also ordered an RO/DI unit and a few odds and ends, so my startup supplies are coming in order. I will probably start the tank w/o lighting, trying to aquire some live rock from someone locally that has no corals or other photosynthetic animals on it.
