I just wanted to drop a line and introduce myself to the group. I was introduced to the forum, group, and a lot of knowledge by Brad (Baron) I work with him.
I Just set up a 55 gallon about 3 months or so. After a small hicup and a bout with some really nasty ich. My wife and I are ready for fish again. We were exploring the QT thing but ended up killing a goby that wasn't taken by the ich and we have 3 clowns. The clowns we have, survived some really bad conditions in the QT. I am convinced they would survive a month in a bucket of warm urine. (before the hate PM's start rolling in.. it's a figure of speech)
Considering we have given up on QT at the moment. We need some better planning to really keep up with the constant water fluxuations.
We were planning on introducing a new fish to the mix. We are wanting a few more fish including the goby we lost. Is there any reason why we wouldn't be able to add the goby last. We had a diamond watchman goby and they are known to be non-agressive. We wanted to add a few semi-agressives first, but were cautious to put the goby in later in the line. Any thoughts.
more on the tank: Live rock, live sand, Remora protein skimmer, Emperor 400 hang-on, Penguin 330 hang-on, Penquin 100 hang-on
2 powerheads blowing a total of 2000 GPH for curculation. Fake corals till we are man enough to take on a whole new beast. Cleaner shrimp, Red starfish, 12 turbo snails. emerald crab.
