Hello. My name is Kaleb. I live in Yukon and am in the beginning stages of building my first reef. My question is, does anyone know where I can get black 100% silicone locally (anywhere near okc) . Thanks for your time.
you can get it locally- I have used it in the past, if it is for a tank you need the Dow Corning stuff. EddybabyHD knows where to get it, Ill ask him to post in here. Its from a place near the State Capital.
I use black sand, but I'm pretty sure it's not 100% silicone. You could call them and ask tho. Been in my tank for several years with no bad side effects. I got it from George Townsend Company. You can find them in the phone book. It's cheap too.
Yes I was talking about aquarium grade silicone. I found some black silicone at the auto parts store that says its aquarium safe oncthe back, so I guess ill try that.thanks for all the help!

Home depot and Lowes has what you need. Just get the clear indoor silicone. The important thing is to make sure you don't buy anything that has mold inhibitor in it. Do a search for it here on RC, there are several threads on it with brand names and pictures.
