Here is a link to the video I made with the problems I'm having again I'm new to the hobby and need help getting thing dialed in https://youtu.be/EFkx9buprRk thanks
Capsle, my return is 3/4" all the way up to my bulk head my bulk head coming through the tank is 1/2" with a 1/2" 90 threaded on with a 1/2"-3/4" bushing. I'm not sure on the height I will check when I get off work and as far as my return pump being turn up all the way I'm not sure, I really didn't see any adjustments on it but I will look again
What kind of pump is it?

The reduction you have on your overflow plumbing is't helping with the sound, also never a good idea to reduce down a overflow pipe, you are asking for trouble there IMO. 1" is safe for about 700gal/hr max, but I alway suggest to go bigger.
I would do as suggested above, build a durso and install an overflow box. this may require you draining 1/4- 1/2 the water out of the tank for a few days, but both the durso and overflow will help with sound immensely.
Those screw on grate style overflows can clog up pretty quick with algae, esp during your cycle when algae blooms are common, this can lead to you coming home to a flood or in worst case scenario a house fire caused by said flood if power stips or sockets get wet and start arcing.
Hope this helps.
For a newcommer though, nice looking setup! good job. wish more people made youtube vids to get help diagnosing problems, makes it much easier to give beneficial advice.
My bulk head is an 1.5" and I had to reduce it to 1" BC that was the size pipe coming out of my sock it but there is only 1'6" of 1" pipe being used the rest of it is 1.5" and can I just drill a hole in the top of my 90? Or do I have to plumb a T in? And thank you I have done a lot of research before doing this project and I wanted to have a nice set up with good equipment
I know what your talking about and yes you can drill a hole in the 90" but make sure that it is sealed tight before you start the water flow and I would suggest if you can a ridged tube be placed in it because if the tube ever goes below the water line you will make a nice little siphon right where your wall outlet looks to be. When it comes to the reducer I would personally cut that 1in for the sock to make it a 1 1/2in and place the tube into the water so that its not splashing into the water in the sock. I would suggest a 90" over the sock's now larger hole with a barb and a short 1 1/2 flex tube to make changing the sock easier. I have basically your system but my 75 is a RR tank but those changes should fix the water rising issues and the noise. Otherwise nice tank and welcome to the reefing community!
