Hi, I"m very new to the hobby and would like to findout if this tank is any good? I found someone selling a used one.

I am especially interested in the skimmer I can get for this. I believe they suggest an internal one.

The Aquasystem is an aquarium that contains a state of the art internal wet/dry filtration system. Being highly effective in the removal of toxins and contaminates makes the Aquasystem the natural choice for freshwater, saltwater and reef setups. The Aquasystem features a hidden chamber for your heater and protein skimmer (heater and skimmer sold seperately). Wet/dry chamber, drip tray, mechanical pre-filter and pump with return line are Included. No hoses or tubes hang off the back. Everything is internal! Simply add water, heater, lights and plug the system in!

thanks,

IMO I wouldn't get it. all the filtration that it has you will find out is not a good thing to have in a SW setup, as they will create nitrates in the long run. if i were you I would just buy a normal tank of the size you want (perferably reef ready aka drilled tank with internal overflow box) and build a sump or a sump/fuge. your main filtration in a SW tank consists of LR (live rock) and a good quality skimmer. and you can get the tank and sump fuge for a cheaper price than that setup.

I second that opinion. Wet dry filtration is bad for a reef tank. All you need is live rock, a decent amount of flow, and a good protein skimmer. Keep making the right choices though by asking here on rc before you buy anything. You will save alot of money in the process!
