New to tunze for my cube

Hey I'm thinking of getting tunze for my new setup- they will have to be controllable ones, controlled by either a 7096 or a apex-- my tank is a 36x36 18" deep- will be a few sps on the tops and Lps in the sand. The tank has two viewable sides with a closed loop pumping around 1200 gph (600 each) in the two viewing corners at the bottom from under the tank-- I was thinking 2 6105's on the other two corners but then read that 6205 have wider more dispersed flow- also read that 6105 with a 6205 hood/ thingy has a good flow also-- then I found out that the nano is controllable also and am wondering if 3 of them is the best bet to get even more options on direction and wave movement- basically I'm confused as crap as you probably are also after reading this- what's the best setup for a 36x36x18 tank?sorry and thanks matt

In my opinion 6205's would be way too much flow and truthfully I think the 6105's as well. I haven't had the expericence with them, but I'm familiar with the dimensions of the tank. I run Nano 6055's in my 90gal and the flow is pretty good as is the dispersed flow. Tunze just announced the 6095's as well which will be controllable, flow up to a little over 2600gph. I would be inclined to see about those, smaller footprint (almost identical to the 6055), greater flow and sub $300 price tag.

If you really want a larger pump, then I would say the 6105's and really dial them back. My 6055's blow my sand and mine are upper corners in a 25"H tank. Unless yours is bare bottom, they'll blow your sand everywhere.

I will hav sand so I don't want a storm- I'm great with the smaller 6055 pumps because I don't want big pumps sticking out- would 2 6055 be good or ya think three all on a controller

I would do as Roger suggested and go with 2 6055's at first and add the third if needed. Glad to be of assistance, good luck!
