new Turbelle Stream 6105 turns off and will not restart

I have a new Turbelle Stream 6105 that turns off and will not restart without disconnecting power and restarting. the problem is fairly intermittent, it will run for a week or two and then just stop. I'm using a new 7096 controller (purchased with pump) with the latest SW from the Tunze web site.

Last week I moved the pump from channel 1 to 3 and on startup the same problem happened. this week has been going well so far.

The other two pumps (older units) are working well.

the power supply has an 18V jumper in it.

any suggestions?

thanks!

I can think of four potential causes-

The power supply has a shorter than normal DC tip and makes poor contact, try swapping power supplies from another pump.

The drive unit may be very stiff or a foreign object may be caught between the drive unit and shaft, remove the drive unit (prop assembly) and check that the shaft is shiny and not dull with minerals and no foreign object is stuck on the shaft or the hole in the drive unit.

The potentiometer on the pump connector box is turned down, when using a controller this should be at 100%.

The pump has some sort of defect that is intermittent.

So I am having the same issue with my older 6201's. I cleaned until the shafts were shinny, but still have the same issue. Mine will stop daily at some point. What more can I do?

6201 or 6205? The 6201 would not have a metal shaft, it is a different design pump from pre 2008 and the usual cause of this on a 6201 is the bearing being stuck to the magnet rotor.

swapped power supplies and the same pump is not starting, so it is likely not the power supply. The potentiometers are all turned to max. Took the pump apart and everything is clean and free turning.

How can we get this replaced under warranty?

Send it in, include a print of these posts or a note describing the issue. I need only the pump, I don't need the magnet holders or power supply.
