New Wavebox ?

Roger,
Is there a new Wavebox on the horizon? If so, when will it be coming out? Also, what will the new improved version include?

Thank you:beer:

I believe the new model is the Comline Wavebox 6208, so a new model for small aquariums rather than a replacement for the standard 6215. Hope that helps a bit before Roger gets to chime in.

Yes, it will replace the 6206 Nano Wavebox, it should be available around 1st week of November, it will include everything needed (box, controller, pump, power supply, magnet holders. It is suitable for up to a 200 about.

?

The 6208 is completely different from the 6206, it is a 100% change.

If you mean the full size 6215 which you don't need for a 65, it is not changing in the near future.

Roger,
I need the nano box right? 36x18x24. Center overflow in back. SPS tank. Would two Tunze streams be a better choice or both? I have two returns from sump that can either be mounted in rear on each corner, or closer corners next to overflow.
What do you recommend for good flow?

The waveboxes should generally not be the only source of flow, the wave has a directionless, lift and suspend action, that works best with a directional flow pump. For a 65, I would get the 6208 Comline Wavebox, if you can't wait or want the smaller size of the current model you could get the 6206 Nano Wavebox. The new one looks nicer and is stronger. I would pair it ideally with a 6095, second best would be a 6045 if being controllable/low voltage is not a feature you really desire. 6045 has a mechanical flow adjustment but cannot be electronically controlled.

Roger,
No, I can and will certainly wait for the new comline box! Is it any less obtrusive? Any pics? Pleeeeeeeeeease???? LOL...
So even though I will have 2 returns coming into the tank you would still recommend one 6095 or 6045? It should be placed opposite end of the wave box?

Thanks Roger. PS Excited to see the new wavebox!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

That is really sharp looking! Thank you Craig! Yep! Sold, I am getting one for sure!

Return flow from a sump is generally too weak to really be a factor, by the time factor any elbows and head pressure the resulting flow of a typical return pump will be inconsequential.
