New wild caught Perc's fighting

Hi,

I bought a magnifica as clowns didn't show interest in BTA or LTA. One clown went into the magnifica when the lights came on this morning, I caught the other one (who was hiding in the upper corner of the tank behind the cleaning magnet but well and eating lots) I scooped him in a net a put him with the nem. The two looked very happy in their new home but after 5 minutes they started locking lips and fighting pretty badly. I didn't want one to kill the other (maybe they would have settled after a while) but when there's no quivering/shimmering it wasn't looking good. I decided to catch and put into a floating container (see attached pics) with the hope they'll get use to each other without harming one another. They are quite small in size, one being marginally bigger then the other.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks MM

Well it is a dominance thing i see they're both the same size that's probably why no one was giving in keeping one in a separate container might work but it is harder eventually one will have to give in and be the male (probably the one that was hiding) i think it would be safe to release the one in the container when one starts showing the dominant one that they are boss they do this usually by shaking or shivering next to the other

I know I went into detail (seems like you knew most of this) but this answer is for everyone new and experienced people alike

Good luck and keep us updated

Cant really tell if you put both in the ccontainer or just the small one? maybe put the more aggessive one in the container n leave the other one to swim free in the tank?

Tried to add them back in and it was Fight Club again, so have put the slightly smaller one in the trap beside the nem hosting the other Perc....

No idea now.....
