Hello all,

My name is Jessica, and I'm new here. I've had freshwater tanks for years, but now I'm beginning to develop plans for a marine reef tank.

I am very interested getting captive-bred stock. I noticed that those are mostly the clownfish. And I was wondering what other captive-bred critters are available.
(As a side note, there really isn't a good supplier locally, so I'm mostly looking online).

Thanks,
Jessica

havent looked at the link that criminal posted, but i think that one commonly (or easily i should say) bred fish is the bangaii cardinal. I hear people say that they're pretty easy to breed, so i'd think there are plenty of captive bred ones available.

Hi Jessica. Welcome!

What size tank are you thinking of setting up?

A couple of interesting tank-bred fish that come to mind are the Blue neon goby (Gobiosoma oceanops) and the Yellow-headed jawfish (Opistognathus aurifrons). Hopefully someone more experienced will know some other ones.

Thanks for the welcomes.

liveaquaria.com was one of the sites I was looking at. I've had good experiences with Drs. Foster and Smith (the company that owns live aquaria).

Is it completly out of the question to find captive-bred echinoderms?
