I bought a solor fairy wrasse. Very nice looking fish. He came yesterday so its been about 24 hours. He seems very very shy. Thats okay, I jusyt wonder if he... er she... is gonna be happy.

also can anyone confirm the invisisble net thing with red nets, that red nets cant be seen as well by fish

What about also I heard some fairy wrasses you can have 2 of, but I also saw some people say that was untrue.

I have one and once he got settled in he was out and swimming in and out of rocks all day long. From the fairys and flashers that I have had once they settled in they all were very active fish. One reason I love wrasses.

You can have multiple fairy and flasher wrasses in the same tank. However, there are some fairy wrasses that are very aggressive towards wrasses that they see as "similars". You can potentially minimize this by socially acclimating new arrivals by floating them in a breeder cup (can be acquired from Petsmart or equivalent)

Thanks!

He, or she, is very shy he peeks at us alot form the rocks he comes out, he goes back in and hides. I'm glad to hear he'll be at home in there.

He hates the two green chromis we got with the tank in the beginning, a bit of misfortune really, as I dont how I'll ever get them out. We're not terribly fond of them, they like to torment my sally lightfoot. They swim by and he panics everytime. He ate today, lunged out for a frozen mysis shrimp, so thats a good sign.

idk... any fish cathing help?

Just avoid (4,6,12 line ), mystery, dissappearing and similar genus type wrasses. Most aggressive of the bunch.

I had a total of 12 wrasses in my 100. carpenters, fairys, flashers, 2 lineatus, mystery, leopards (3) and 6line. Everyone was cool with each other except the mystery and 6line. ( VICIOUS little bastards )

I just got a mystery and so far mine seems shy. But I agree with delsol650 with the 6-line. I had to net mine and since it was such a bully it now lives with "Cuddles" my mantis shrimp.

My scotts tormented my solor until I moved the scotts for 45 days now the once timid solor swims around confidently he still gets chased every now and then but nothing like before

My solar hid for 3-4 days before venturing out. I spot fed him mysis with a turkey baster to make sure he got something to eat. But now he is out all the time as all my wrasses are. I have 7 different ones in my 300 with zero issues including a mystery wrasse. IMO they are the most active, colorful and interesting fish you just have to keep them in the tank because they do like to jump.

i have a solar hes been active since i got it, i just got a sixline yesterday and he was all active now i cant find it. whats going on?
