New years Present (MAC MINI) Who else?

Alright I'm now toying with my new toy I got for a merry "New Years"
So far I'm really liking the system and have found my self using it more than my PC...
Atleast so far time will tell if I will actually stick with this as my main OS.
Whatever I use I'll keep the PC cause I need it to do stuff the mac can't do so easily..

So who else uses the mini?
or for that matter the MAC?

Hey Steve,

I got a Mac PowerBook Pro 17" back in September (?). I tried using it as my main computer at home for almost three months. But I eventually went back to my Windows OS.

Now let the flame war begin. (Mac vs Windows)

I use a 17" Powerbook and run both Mac and Windows (bootcamp). I tell you, I take that thing everywhere. At home I have about 3-4 other Windows systems for various nerdy things that I use too.

Give it some time to set it - it grew on me being a hardcore MS tech guru for years and all where Apple was taboo.

I am a confirmed Mac Addict. I have a PC laptop somewhere, but my main system has always been an Apple.
There is a little bit of a learning curve, but you will find you can do everything with the Mac... like run Windows (run them at the same time even).

Mac Addict here. I use both mac and PC's. The nice thing is that now that Mac is running intel chips I have the best of both worlds running both operating systems simultaneously if I choose on my relatively new MacBook.

I also have an older Mac Pro G5 which has been my workhorse for music. I am waiting for the new Mac Pro's which are rumored to be announced at the Mac World Expo on the 14th. They are supposed to have the new intel penryn chips in them, and I will be getting the dual quads to drive my all of my music software (my other expensive hobby which may turn into a business). In the last couple of years the music software industry has seen fairly impressive leaps forward, but at this point my G5 can't keep up. The Mac Pro line hasn't seen a major upgrade in quite some time and those of us who are power users are all waiting since a new line appears imminent.

Bootcamp is your friend like Mike said... having the ability to swap between both OS's is great

Made the switch to the light about three months ago and never looked back. Bought Parallels Desktop at the same time, but have never had the reason to use it yet. The thing I like the most is it takes maybe 16 second to boot up. I have an XP and Vista system sitting right along side my iMAC, and I am reading e-mail even before the desktop is up on either of the two Windows PC's.
