Here are a couple of new yumas I got this week.

Anyone know what color this one is considered? It was sold as red, but it has a bit of a pink tint to it.

If that wasn't a photoshop editted picture, if would have been the most beautiful pink yuma I've ever seen.

Absolute Reef--
What do you mean by Photoshop edited picture? I don't even own Photoshop software! And I also do not claim to be a very good photographer. The picture is totally unedited. And I do not consider the yuma to be pink. This one is pink. Unedited pic as well.

always a hater out there....nice yumas you have.

i work with photoshop and theres nothing about that pic that says " this is photoshoped" i would have detected it by now ... just my 2cents

I would go with Hot Pink. I have a dull pink yuma, which I have decided to call a Rose color. Yours is definitely brighter, but not the deep hue that is required to be considered Red.

Definitely a beaut!

Take it easy guys, I knew I was "wrong" but at least my compliment was absolutely "right".
That was actually a compliment...in a jealously kind of way, *sigh*.

I truely love the color of that yuma, I really do.

PS : so sorry if you were offended by my reply. :(

I own photoshop software but i dont know how to use it... I dont see why the OP would "photochop" a pic of something they just wanted to share.

Great looking Yuma, good luck with it.

ya i picked up one last night at my friends place like the one in the first pic. they're very very nice!

Hey dufu$, yuma colours (such as red, pink, violet) exist in nature. I own 3 red, 1 pink, 1 blue, and many other multicoloured.

my supplier well friend he just got a whim of yumas and they're intense i picked up 2 i got one like that pink one and then one thats orange, blue, green, purple, and a pink one i hope he'll get more in like this again

What do the pink yumas usually cost? I just recently got one from the LFS and probably paid way way too much. Do you keep your pink yumas low with low water movement?

Here is my pink yuma that I recently got. It had two polyps, and I lost the small one while I was on vacation. The other polyp that is shown in the pic seems like it is barely attached. If it is not happy will it detach itself?

Tim -- If they detach themselves, it is usually a sign that they are not happy where they are. The yuma in your picture looks healthy, though. Where is it located in your tank? High flow, low flow, lighting?

My yuma is located very low with low/moderate water movement. I woke up this morning and it was detached. It was looking nice and heathly yesterday, but it is gone. I have this problem everytime with rics. It is a real bummer because I paid a lot of money for that hot pink ric. I have never been able to find a ric once it has detached because I just have too much rock and hidden places :(
