New Zoas closed up

I recently purchased 2 Zoa frags, within a few hours of placing in the tank both were open and seemed happy. However, one of my hermits walked over one of the frags causing it to close up, and it hasnt opened up since. The other frag is still happy as can be. Both frags are near the bottom of the tank, and have been in the tank for 3 days.

Another interesting development is I have a colt coral which has suddenly shrunken in size, I have had it around a month and it has only just started doing this. I run carbon to deal with any chemical warfare, does anyone know why it might do this? Apart from my nitrates being a little high (30) my parameters are all within normal reef conditions (SG 1.025, CAL 420, MAG 1350, KH 8.5dkh, PHOS 0.03).

with zoas, u can always do a freshwater dip to make sure there is no pest.

What sort of freshwater should I use? Do things like the PH need to be the same as the tank?

its better to adjust the ph, but imo not necessary. just dip it for like 2-3 minutes. dont ever freshwater dip softies, lps or sps. zoas and clams are ok.

OK thanks, is dechlorinated tap water OK or does it need to be RO water?
