if you all are interested about the active ingredient in that...the chemical name just sounded like some chemical that you would use to treat parasites/fungus.
go to www.chemfinder.com and then type in the chemical name in the search box.
for instance, i typed in Nitrofurazone....its IUPAC name is 5-Nitro-2-furaldehyde Semicarbazone along with a bunch of synonyms.
down the page there are a bunch of links that show what the compound is normally used for...interesting information.
does the stuff say its specifically safe for corals? interesting info though...

since lugols is such a highly concentrated iodine...i've always wondered about using bedadine...basically same stuff they use for medical sterilizing purposes. it would alot cheaper than lugols thats for sure. :lol: maybe one day i'll have the guts to test it :lol:
