newbie but really not

well not new to reefing but new to reef central and im glad i found this section. im in coral springs, been out of the hobby for 3 years and the kids are old enough to ask for a fish tank, so i said to myself hmmm, time to set up a new 90 gallon tank. mind u they only wanted a 5 gallon goldfish tank, lol but i figured the wife wouldnt complain if i was making the fish tank "for the kids". just excited lights are coming today, refugium monday i should be up and running monday night and start cycling
 
Cool and welcome, that is how I stumbled back into the hobby as well. Now my six year old is gung ho in it! Let us know if you need anything. I have a bucket of nice rock I would be willing to part with cheap if you need.
 
Thanks already got some rock the same way I did on my 125, gotta love south Florida limestone rocks everywhere. I find big construction sites and pick out nice big pieces and hose them off and soak them at home best of all it's free and I will seed it with some live stuff
 
They're bright but I hope it will be enough on a 90 I think I'm pushing it to the max but a nice suprise I was expecting it to come with 10k but it came with 12k instead
