Newbie looking to get into the hobby

Hello! Looking to join the saltwater hobby, mainly interested in starfish. I've only had experience owning freshwater angelfish.
Would be greatly appreciated if anyone could point me in the right direction. As far as what i would need ect. Thanks in advance!

I'd be willing to help. Starfish are probably my 2nd favorite saltwater critter after anemones. If you want serious help, email me at mrhandy@hotmail.com and I'll see if I can help. I have a 20 'chapter' Saltwater 101 series of 2 to 4 page installments. And I enjoy helping new people in the hobby.

The one big thing about your desire that you need to understand is that sea stars (they aren't called starfish any more) are rather reclusive and tend to hide out under rocks or bury themselves in the sand.

Most do not do well for long in captivity, but with Ron's experience, that may change things.

IMO, unless you are of expert status, stars are better left in the sea. That does not include brittles or serpents...those are fine....
