Newbie question: Chalice Compatibility

I am newbie to coral keeping. I have my first two chalices, e. aspera and e. echinoporoides. Are all chalices compatible to be place close to each other or not necessarily?

Thank you.

I have two that will be touching soon but I honestly don't know of they are two different chalice. However, my LFS I am sure has several different chalice that touch and there is just a ridge where they meet and no dead flesh.

"chalice" is a generic term for corals from at least 3 or 4 different similar looking genera and numerous species, some of which are extremely aggressive. I've seen them sound out clouds of 8" long sweeper tentacles in my tanks. If you aren't absolutely positive that two specimens you may have are the exact same species, keep them far away from one another.

I have a few chalices and they are very aggressive in my tank. Sweepers go out every night and can be a few inches long. I have one tiny frag about 1/2 inch across that broke off a large colony of Hollywood Stunner and every night it outs out a single sweeper two inches long. Any time a price of mine touches anything else there is tissue death on something. I love them but you do need to give them space.
