Hey guys I'm pretty new to saltwater fish & tanks and have a few questions for you guys. First off I'll start off with what I have.

46 gal bowfront (purchased in june of 06)
live sand
live rock (mainly from figi islands)
different types of corals purchased in july which were used by a friend that had a 200 gal tank
2 backpack protein skimmers
wet/dry filter system
coralife lighting (not sure how many watts & voltage its using..will check)
1 yellow tang
3 black/white/yellow striped clowns that i bought together from a friend
3 chromies
1 sand gobee (which i can't find)
1 fish that looks similar to the gobee that cleans the rock (name unknown)
4 hermit crabs
5 snails
1 anemonie
1 bubble coral
a lot more coral but just unsure of what the names are
1 clam

I bought the corals, anemonie, live rock, & 3 clown fish together from a friend in July and all are doing well. When we started setting up the corals & rock, the majority of his stuff had green hair algae growing on it, and we cleaned it out as best as we could, not thoroughly though. After a few weeks to a month I noticed that more green hair algae had been growing. So after some research I figured out that I had to decrease the phosphate level, nitrate level, and nitrite level. When I did my first water change & tank clean which was last weekend, I added phosguard & a new filter that is used to decrease nitrate/nitrite levels. I brushed off all the live rock and corals with a new soft tip tooth brush and got about 99% of all green hair algae out. Its been about a 1 week and so far so good...no trace of green algae. However I did have some other problems. One of the fish I purchased from my friend was an orange flame angel (retails for $50 or so), well when I bought my corals and rock from my friend, he included that fish as well as a few others. Anyways, before I did the water change the orange angel was fine, but after the water change I noticed that it wasn't acting right, and was not eating as much and was always in hiding, so I couldn't really do much. 3 days after the change I did not see the orange angel anymore, and looked through one of the rock holes and saw that it had died and was getting picked apart by the crabs. =[ Another incident that happened was I purchased a purple tang, that didn't look to healthy in the first place. After a few days I noticed it wasn't there anymore and I looked EVERYWHERE...so I'm assuming that the anemonie ate it, also ate 1 of my chromies, and 1 tomato clown...maybe the sand gobee? So right now I'm down to a yellow tang, 3 chromies, 3 clowns, and 1 rock cleaner or whatever its called. Any advice for the future? Also here's a picture of my tank but some people have been telling me that it's overstocked, any opinions? If it is overstocked, what can i do to reduce it but at the same time make it look decent? Also any recommendations on what kind of fish I can put in here that have a better chance at living then the ones I already have? Money really isn't an issue as long as it lives. Give me some feedback
