I saw one or two blue legs near of it but neither close to it mantle or foot.

Any help, comment or recommendation is very welcome, this is my first clam, the aquarium have 8 years old full SPS and LPS mix.

Thanks,

What lighting is the clam currently under, and what lighting did it originally come from? Where in the tank do you currently have it placed?

I haven't seen anything on it. Something must be bother the clam because today I did a test and move it to another place, I placed it on top of motipora coral at upper right and almost immediately open it a little more.

Here is an actual picture:

Before it was on the bottom at the middle of the aquarium. My lighting is one 250w MH, a led lamp with 18 LEDs from Rapid Led and 2 spot led 12w lamp from orphek.

hey guys, an update about the clam; it's doing very well, however I keep it over a montipora on top os the aquarium, when I move it to the botton it seem the fishes swimming bother the clam because it keep closed, or retracted it's mantle every moment, this is a normal behaviors until acclimated to the aquarium?

I think it may be retracting due to lack of light at the bottom if you move it higher and it opens, at least that could be one issue.

Actually it looks like I saw a Blue leg hermit in one of the pics. When I had blue legs, they all picked at my clam mantles. Had to get rid of them. Now I have red legs and they can climb all over the shells and have never snipped at the mantles. Will never buy blue legs because of my experience with them.
