I have a aquaclear powerhead sittin on the top of my tank .. my question is .. can i submerge it ? because im worried about the power chord going in the water .. is this okay?

I am not familiar with that Power head, but if you have it plugged into a GFCI, and there is a problem with it. The GFCI will trip cutting the electric to the unit.

The 301 is a submersible pump so yes you can submerge it.

Use of a GFCI is also a good idea if you don't already have one installed on your aquarium circuit.

That is a GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER.

It is a pre circuit breaker.

You might have them in your bathroom or kitchen. Tehy have a reset button on the face of the plug.

You can buy them and replace the outlet you have, or you can buy one that is built into the extension cord.

Good luck
