Newer Tank

I've had my fowler tank up for 3 months now. Had a 4 chromis. 2 died pretty quick and the other 2 just recently died over night. Woke up to cleaner shrimp eating them. Main parameters are 0 ph 8.2. Just wondering if bad luck or something else I need to check for. My cleaner shrimp and benny seem fine.

Check your temp at different times of the day. At this time of the year you might be getting a little cold at night and the swings can kill your tank. What size tank, what size heater, and what does the ambient temp get down to? Also what id the normal temp range for your tank? Mine sits pretty steady at 79.5. Day and night might swing by only a degree or two.

It is hard to say what caused the deaths. Chromis are known to knock each other off until there is one or two left.

Can you tell us how long the fish have been in the tank, added at the same time?

What kind of behavior did the exhibit, for example gasping at the surface, breathing heavy

What did they look like prior to dying, for example beat up, spots, slimy sloughing skin, open sore/lesions.

are you dosing anything into the tank?
