I have had my tank up for close to 2 years. Although I had two major setbacks one right after the other. First was monti eating nudies. After getting rid of all my monti at the time they were my favorite corals, let the tank sit for 6 months and everything started growing nicely.
Fast forward a few months and low and behold my acros were dieing. Couldn't figure it out. I gave a few frags to a friend and she ended up having to make the call to me letting me know I had AEFW. Awesome. I had what at the time I thought was a lot of money tied up in my acro, decision time. Go fish only or scrap the whole deal. I ended up going option 3, I took out all my acros and gave them to someone who knew what they had and they dipped them for six weeks. When it came time to get them back I only took one back. I just liked that one. Didn't even know what it was. Ended up being a battle stag from battle corals. Nice piece now.
So with all that out of my way I decided to go mostly sticks. I love sticks? Trying to upload pics? I will try with my phone later.
Anyways my tank is a rimless 40 with a 40 breeder for my sump. Magnus skimmer mp-40 for flow hand dose, octo varois2 return pump, two ocean revive LEDs. I use live rock in my sump and I believe that's it. Going to set up my apex soon. I've had it over a year and never set it up.
I do own a brand new Red Sea 650 and I replaced a few items on it that I didn't care for stock parts on. Different skinmmer and they don't come with a reactor so I added one of those, have three brand new mp-40 for it.
Bought all that then decided to move. So the big tank is in storage for now.
That's my story so far.
