When we saw him at Petland, our hearts dropped and I had tears in my eyes thinking what IF that was my Husky in the kennel. He was very sad looking laying in the kennel. He's a beautiful boy almost 5mo. The previous owners brought him back to the petshop, I don't think they know any better about the care for a husky. He had constant diarrhea the first day we had him(Even at Petland, they didn't know what to do with him), but on his second day he's improving. Thanks to the owner at Petland for working with me on Rocco, very nice people!

Diarrhea can be nerves, but it's probably a change in diet. Don't let this go on too long without getting a vet to check him, but he should be good in a day or two.

Good looking dog!

Thanks Guys!!! Brandon, he was at the Petland in Murfreesboro. Ok, yesterday he was showing improvement with diarrhea, but today he's having diarrhea again. BUT he has not started eating well until today, poor thing had his diet changed like 4 times already from the previous owner, then Petland, then us. He does not like the food Petland provided him, he wants to eat what my dogs are eating which is Natural Choice, Lamb and Rice Formula. He ate down two bowls of food from this morning and tonight, so he is very hungry now. The first couple of days he wants people food and I had to put a stop to that, that's why we suspected that the previous owners feeds him people food, part of the diarrhea problem. So he is very hungry to eat his own food now since he does not get any people food. IF this diarrhea problem goes on again the next few days, he will have to go to the vet. He's going anyway next week for a check up and get his full shots. I'm happy that his tummy is actually full tonight, unlike the previous two days which was beginning to worry me.....Other then that, he acts fine, plays rough with the other two.......lol

Good deal...just make sure he's not dehydrated from the poop issue. If he is, the vet will likely just give him some IV fluids, nothing major. Just keep an eye on it until your vet appointment rolls around.

I have had great luck with the lamb and rice formula. I have used Natural Choice and Purina One. They both seem to give my daughters Pom more energy and a beautiful coat. He just eats the Purina one better. You have a beautiful Husky. Good luck with him. Ricky

i saw him the day he arrived, wasn't to active they had a "not ready for adoption" sign on him. beautiful husky, i wish i had room for him.

I was there that day as well when he arrived. I ask them to take him out for me and they did. I went ahead and told them to hold him for me once he's done with his checkups with their vet and we picked him up two days later.

Moriah, since we just give him the new food, I'm going to give him at least a week to adjust. Hopefully it will go away.....He gets lots of water in case of dehydration. He just wants to be babied.... :)

Ricky, I just switched all my dogs to Natural Choice, they were on Solid Gold before, but Solid Gold give my dogs gas really bad and after reading it online, we weren't the only ones that's having the same problem. When one have gas it's a maybe, but when all are doing the same thing, something is up with the food......
