Newly Gotten Radiant wrasse MIA

I just got this little radiant. He looked perfect. about 1 1/2", small, but ok. He encountered an orchid dottyback within 10 seconds in tank. I saw them have a a quick fight -- I couldnt see it clearly as it was back of rocks. I saw sand flying, no one screaming :-D . That was two days ago. And I havent seen the wrasse since. Is it possible he's keeping himself dug under the sand. Is it normal for them to be out of site for the first while after being introduced? You think the orchid dback killed him that fast?

Prob buried under the sand. But check around your tank.

Is it common for this species to hide out even under sand for a long time after first going in tank, compared to other wrasses like Menlanrus? My melanarus has been out in full view since going in the tank .

Based on my experience with wrasses, i like to introduce them at night, lights out, after when every fishes in the tank had gone into hiding. Less aggression.
