Hi everyone, I just purchased new sps corals, acropora corals and I am new to keeping this type, I have a 144g half circle tank by oceanic. Lighting, 354w sunlight tek 5, 6-54w bulbs. Filter, 250 gallon sump rubber made custom reef skimmer, carbon reactor running vbc, ATO system for evaporation, add ph and other trace elements when needed. ro/di -5 stage, red sea coral pro salt, I have all Lps and soft corals along with some montipora, fish- 1 adult red corks wrasse, 1 black blenny, 1 dragon emperor goby, 1 percula clown fish, 1 coral beauty angel, 3 green chormis damsels, 2 peppermint shrimp, 1 cleaner shrimp,, and snails. tank has been running good for 5 years no problem, but I am still worried about the acropora corals I just bought bc I know how sensitive to any changes in water chemistry those corals are, does anyone have good advice and, Tips for keeping these corals in good health?

The most important things besides having good lighting is stability. Keep your Salinity, Alk, Cal and Mag at acceptable levels and consistent. Besides that just watch your Phosphates and Nitrates.

also ghe acroporas i bought were a the bottom of a tank with a MH over itl, would this have any effect on the corals if i put them at the top of my tank for best lighting; which is where they are now, or should i slowly acclimate them to the light and place them lower for now?
