Just looking for some suggestions. I have a 30 gal display with 10 gal sump/refugium. Right now i a scooter blenny(dont worrie pod colony is doing great), 2 true clowns, and a royal gamma. I also have small corals right now zoas, green star, cloves, a few shrooms, whisker, ect.

What fish could/should i add.
I was thinking of having like a "center piece fish" dwarf angel or somthing....or somthing like 2 fire fish instead. Any sugestions? :)

Good to hear thats what i was looking at. It will add alof of color and give it some more movment in the tank Thanks for the input!

+1 on the flame

TFO had one last week for about $70 or so. Can get one online for about half that though you have to add shipping.

If you are considering ordering one let me know. I am looking for a few fish and we can combine orders to save on shipping or maybe even qualify for free shipping somewhere.

Awsome! That would work great i know i was thinking about ordering through bluezooaquatics had good luck with them and free ship over 140 which im sure i could add up some coral. if you have any other preferences we could split shipping costs that would be really awsome way to save some money i hate that i can buy one for 40 bucks but then spend 30 almost the same price on shipping. FYI ill probably looking to make an order somwhere in like 2-3 weeks if that might work for you?

honestly..the space a pigmy angle needs is much larger than 30 gallons. I had 2 in a 180 and it was hell. JUST not enough room. You might want to look into a few small wrasses, or a school of small redspot glass cardinal fish. Even the firefish arent a great choice because they often become intimidated in a new tank(even worse in a 30 gal) and will either get bullied or wither away. Then the current tank mates can pose a issue to new additons. 1st the gamma can get aggressive and the with damels(clowns) as they will end up being territorial down the road after they bond and start cleaning the tank to lay eggs. You may want to do some research as to what fish youd like to add. Also what species are the clowns..if they are maroon the your going to have issues no matter what you add.

I agree with reefjunkie. I had dwarf angels before that in a 54 corner bow, which has close to the same amount of open space as a 75g standard tank, and I definitely thought it could use some more room. I think your fish stock is pretty much at its limit, unless you go for a small goby or something. maybe you could look into some decorative nano shrimp if you have the urge to add anything more. I don't mean to squash your hopes of a show piece fish, but in a tank that size there is a limited availability.

Id go with a Banggai Cardinalfish not only are they hardy they can hold their ground alittle bit if your royal gamma were to give any issues but i dont think you would have much aggression issues with just one cardinalfish addition. Flame angels are great in bigger tanks but they're a hit and miss with some people my fathers Flame in a 180 caused havok to zoa's and some soft corals where mine in a 120 wont gear near any of it not to mention they're quite agressive in small spaces.

Thanks for the advice everone....this is exactly why i asked here before buying! im deffenetly going to do some more reaserch on an alternative then as i would like to add one more to give it a bit more movement and color.

so ive looked at the cardinal which looks to be a good match..ive also looked at Pygmy Wrasse and a goby w/ pistol shrimp. Any thoughts?

I dont know much about wrasses personally so id ask reefjunkie42 but keep in mind theres a chance the goby might compete with your scooter blenny for pods but if you have plenty then no worries there either choice between the cardinal or goby with shrimp should be fine

ya after re-reading RJ's post wrasses were a recomendation. the pod population is deffenetly not an issue A) they are all over the glass and breed really well in the cheato in the sump and B) i also supliment every 3-4 days with baby brine which the blenny loves. i keep an eye on him i know how hard they are to maintain. I might baby him a bit though It is really nice to see him just puttin aroudn all day it really is fun to watch. So it sounds like really i could add a wrasse goby or cardinal then...hmmm >.>
