Next Tucson Frag Swap??

Wow! looks like its going to be a good turnout.

Scott, are you going to have any Zoas left for the Tucson swap?:D noticed you have listed a ton of stuff for this weekends swap in PH. I may be going, but won't know till Fri. one of my girls are sick so if the wife can't run the shop I will have to.:( .

Keep an eye out for some cool Monti's for me:rollface: if you don't see me there.

Talk to you soon

I almost made the mistake of say ing that I would bring more zoos for people to buy on the spot, but remembered that we have this event too.

Right now, the zoos are going mad with growth and the corraline algae has encrusted about 80% of the foam wall. The tank is now 4 months old.

I will look for the montis if you are not around.
Cheers

I have only met cerreta, I have not met any of the other people. It will be good to meet everyone and put a face with the names. I moved here about 1.5yrs ago as well so I am new to the area as well.

Looking forward to meeting all

PROP meeting is listed as October 14th if it will be as scheduled.

Where will everyone be? PROP, this meeting, or BOTH? :)

Tucson swap is on Sunday Oct 15th, we have a small shop but I will be bringing some more chairs.

BRING JACKETS AS IT IS MUCH COOLER IN ORACLE....

Frank, this event is taking place in the town of Oracle, just north of Tucson. It is about an hour and a half drive from Pranksters up in Scotsdale.

We would love to have you come join us down here, if you can make it. This event usually attracks around 20+ hobbyists from the Tucson area, not Phoenix area. We are a separate entity.

That sounds good Frank. What type of seminar are you capable of doing?

I know Frank does excellent fragging work and has tips on how to treat corals being introduced to the aquarium.

What elsewould you be willing to talk about? Water chemistry? Corals and how to keep them?

???

I currently have 3 lecture/workshops

1. Quarantine for Reef Systems

2. Fragging workshop: Least invasive methods

3. Anyone can have a Reef Tank - My newest talk on a little or NO maintenance small reef tank.

I read through this thread fast so I may have missed it. What is the address for the swap? I'm going to try to take the day off to make it.

The swap will be in Oracle, 405 American Ave. thats the address of our coffee shop. Its a small shop so it looks like we will be bringing extra chairs for the patio area.

I am planning on having a small tank set up for people to place their frags, possible a few buckets to dip as well. will know more in the next week or so.

Frank, I will start a Poll on the topics and the most popular topic wins. How does that sound?

Everyone who wishes to attend, please cast a vote. I will also start another thread for items to be auctioned.

We don't run the auctions as formal as the Phx group, so you can bring whatever you want on Sunday, but using the auction thread is a means of posting pictures of the corals you intend to bring, so people can plan ahead.

I will bring the computer with software so the auction goes smooth like last time.

Linda, those are Joker palythoas. They unfortunately did not survive a coral dip with Lugols.

Does anyone else have another method of dipping zoanthids? I will not use Lugols any longer for zoos or softies. I have read mixed reviews on iodine dips for softies.

Frank, what do you use? TMPCC? Is this safer than Lugols?

I do have some Desert Fox palys from Frank. These are almost as cool as the Jokers. It will be a long time before they are ready though.

I may have a few other palys to frag and bring, including a super-bright orange skirt with olive green center.
