NFMAS Website

I would like to update our NFMAS members on the upcoming change to our club website.
As we all know Joseph has been maintaining this site for quite some time now. Joseph has
done an excellent job of keeping us informed on club business thru this site but due to his
work schedule he has decided to find someone else to maintain this site. I have been in
contact with Joseph and Steve (PelagicMagic) on the best way to get the site and domain
transferred. I have setup a new host for the site and in the next couple weeks I will be getting
with Joseph so we can do the domain transfer to the new host.
I will be creating the site from the ground up, but will try and retain as much data as possible.
The first step will be creating a homepage and as time permits making the site interactive again.
Hopefully I can fill the shoes of Joseph and make an interesting site that all will be proud of.

Don't know how much you are hosting it for...but I had offered to host the site free of charge a while back...

I'm not much of one for PHP ( I prefer python or asp) ... but if you have any questions on the backend stuff feel free to ask...and I'll try to help out.

Hi there czieler
I've been with Yahoo for a couple of years now and finally had my fill of their drag butt site. So I just setup hosting with Bluevoda and for the same amount I've been paying Yahoo I can also add unlimited domains for free other than setup charge. So basically the NFMAS site won't incur any additional charges.
I'm really excited about building the new site and hope to add more content to it. My experience has been mainly static pages with linking to other pages. I know I've got a lot to learn about interactive pages and if I can't figure it out I definitely will be taking you up on your offer. I'm hoping there's easier ways of setting up data bases and applications other than sitting there writing script. Anyway I will let you know when I'm in trouble.

Thanks Patrick, I get a kick out of playing with my personnal website and look forward to taking care of our site.
At least this way I can do something for the club other than standing up in front of one of our meetings and talking:eek2:
