Nice looking rail or rack for Mitras lamps

I have been using 2 ea Mitras LX6100HV lamps since september 2012 on my 390 litre Deltec tank.

I have been very satisfied with these lamps, and my sps thrive excellent under this light.

I do now start to think about my next upgrade, a tank with the following measures 150x75x55 cm LXWxH.
My plan is to use three Mitras lamps
If possible I would like to avoid having the lamps hanging from my ceiling each separatly.

Does anyone here know if GHL have any frame or rail system that can be used to mount such set of three lamps?
They will have to be mounted 90 degrees on the length of the tank to reach maximum coverage

If no commercial original GHL railsystem exist, does anyone have any good ideas of a visual well looking system that can be made/used?

I need something that looks nice as this will be an open installation with everything visual in my living room. A high WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor) and also my own goal of getting something that looks nice will be important.

Another question; is it OK to combine my two existing lamps With a 6200 version to get some cooler light colour, or will that be of less importance or create strange allover colours?

I have asked the same question on the GHL forum page, but don't mind getting other opinions as well:cool:

I'm working on getting one designed and made available right now. I hope to have more details available very soon.

There is no rush. My plan is to exchange my existing tank within one to two years.

Is it a commercial design you are working on, or just for your own needs?

Interesting, looking forward to see what you present.

I just received an answer from GHL in Germany today that no railsystem is planned so far.

Referring to my first post, anyone having experience with combining 6100 and 6200 lamps?

You can use a lot of materials to make a light stand. The easiest would be conduit. An example [not mine]:

Got something that I'm doing atm, will post on the Mitras club forum soon.
I have what I'd call a 6100hv/6200hv hybrid or 6100.5hv LoL
I wanted a 6200hv model but don't like the color choice they went with entirely, also didn't want all the Reds in the 6100, so I came up with a solution that works awesome!!!! Totally stoked about my lights!!!

Here is mine, just assembled it tonight. Parts list is on the separate thread within this section. The aluminum extrusion is quite cheap but they get you on all the little brackets, fasteners, and accessories. Still it is incredibly sturdy and went together quickly, about 90 minutes from opening the box to completion.

ekovalsky that's a nice looking setup. Very nice.

Here's one I have been working with a fabricator on and it turned out very nice. Notice how the cable is almost completely hidden. It's a nice clean sleek look for sure.

A very nice unit BigAl. Is the aluminium just polished, or have you anodised it!
Particularly like the ability to turn the lamp fitting.

Being able to rotate the fixture is very key in this design so it's very "adaptable" to many different scenarios.

The upright (vertical) is anodized and the arm/bracket are polished. He also has a powdercoated black version but I've not seen the final one yet. I wish we would have gotten these back about 2 years ago lol.

Yeah always a long time for product development.
Got a friend who is developing a item for holding devices for entertainment in aircraft. Has taken him 3 years todate. Nothing is ever as simple as you think!!
