Nick's Miracle Build

This is awesome! How have I only just discovered your reef. I'm building a 72x22x26 in the same style weir and metal frame (my sump will sit under the frame though). Have you done anything with the frame since putting it in or is it still open? I'm planning on cladding mine to match my furniture. Keen to see what you've done with yours, if you'd be so kind to show? Cheers Chris

Hi Chris,
My stand is made from Aluminun with powder coated. I wish it was steel because it would be so much easier to skin it.
I framed around the stand using 1x3 maple studs and I'm using working on putting the doors together using A1 maple plywood. The finished stand is still a work in progress. I will build a canopy next year when the weather gets better.

Centropyge interrupta. Very pretty and hardy. And also horny.

Pretty fish. Says Japan, don't recall seeing those while in Okinawa and diving - maybe not in that area. Also expensive. Don't see many of them so didn't know.

Thank you for the information. Learned something new today :D

Was this one of the acan munchers? Very beautiful fish. I would be torn between fish and acans...

Unfortunately, yes. And any angelfish will have the potential of LPS nipping. You have to be able to come up with a back up plan before you decide an angelfish in your reef with LPS.

Nice job with the basement finish work! Your inspiring me to finally get mine done;)
Also love the tank, beautiful acro’s!

Even at 30% power, the 6255 can push the water to the other end of the tank. I've been running anti sync pulse mode on these two 6255s and very very happy with the result of the tank.

I'm assuming anti-sync pulse is a stock feature of the 7095 multi-controller? I am running my 6105's through apex so I think I could do the same thing with a little programming. What does your pulse look like... duration ON/OFF, etc.?

The 6255 comes with its own controller. I bought the sync cable to connect the two pump controllers together. I think there's a couple modes on the controller that you can select. I have to check since I haven't touched it or looked at it for awhile.

I love the videos and thank you for showing us a bit of what is going on behind the scenes. Simply an amazing tank.
