The trade show floor is, well, a trade show floor. ORA is showing off lots and lots of gorgeous CB fish. I am not impressed by the massively expensive flavor-of-the-month corals and never impressed by gear, so...

So far the presentations I have been to have been very good to excellent. I am looking forward to seeing the GA Aquarium tomorrow and more good presentations and workshops.

It has also been nice to see Anthony, etc. when I haven't seen these guys in a long time, plus a couple of folks from So Cal. Everyone cross fingers for me to win that trip for two to Fiji, courtesy of Walt Smith.

I was wondering if it is worth a trip from Guntersville for the trade show. Any freebies? What do you think?

Thanks,
Monica

No real freebies. I saw a sign re: free frags at the workshops, but one workshop was the Calfo workshop and it is sold out -- the other workshop I didn't recognize.

The raffle isn't super impressive; just a few knock-out items plus tons of smaller (but nice) things. But I am very happy at the raffle setup -- you buy your tix and put them in the bucket for the thing you want to win. So there's no giant raffle where you get a set of additives when you really wanted that Solaris 24" light fixture. :) And there are different levels of raffle tickets - the $1 tix for the small items and then on up.

Only $10 for a shot at the $12,500 Fiji trip. :D

Tomorrow's schedule includes 14 breakout groups plus the opening and the banquet later. You cna look on the MACNA XX web site for the details.

Could you please see if Hydor has the steel shafts for Koralia 2 & 3? If they do would you buy us 2 of each? or get there contact info.

Thanks,
Monica

They said to use the email link to corporate on their web site, and that it may take a few days to get back to you, but they could tell youwhere to get local parts or send them out to you directly.
