Niger trigger red teeth

I'm interested in trading my my small 3.5 inch fin nipping niger for a large red tooth niger. Do all nigers fin nip or is it just different for each fish? At what size do nigers' get red teeth? Do all nigers' get red teeth or just some? Can nigers's teeth turn red in home aquaria?

I will try to help a little, and someone else will correct me when I go astray.
1. Fin nipping is part of the aggressive nature. He would nip a little more if he could.
2. The teeth turn red at adult maturity.
3. All Niger's should produce the red teeth with maturity.
4. Feed it more and that may help decrease the nipping. I like to give mine diced shrimp.
5. Yes they should get red teeth in the home aquarium.

Does anyone have any pics of their *red tooth* large niger. I tend to think the nippiness of my fish isnt normal, I have had many triggers and none have been nippy before i'm just not sure if it is different for a niger considering the last niger I had was in 1994

I have four Nigers and none of them are fin nippers.They range in sizr from 3 inches to 8 inches.

I am well aware of what a red tooth looks like that is why I want a large red tooth I'm actually very tempted by that guy but he is too large and too expensive for a niger. I'm looking for an eight incher with teeth like those, and I'm wondering who has one with the bright red teeth

mine is about 5'' and has teeth but they are more yellowish then red and he's also not a fin nipper

I got one around 9"+ and his teeth like a smoking coffee drinkers, not quite there yet.

In my experience not all Niger triggers have red teeth.

IIRC, the red teeth on Niger is part of a color morph, meaning that certain locale of this fish has red teeth, and unusually vibrant colors. I believe the Niger triggers from the red sea, and apparently Tonga have this color variation

Nice looking fish mana, how big is he? Mine fin nipper is 3.5 inches and has orange teeth, I suppose they are going to turn eventually if they're already orange, I'm just getting seriously impatient with his fin eating problem
