Night Lights

I've got a 55 gal with a TEK 6 bulb setup. Thinking about night lights (led's I guess). There are times when I'm up much later than the fish and I also like the night life of the tank.

Suggestions?

look very nice but at 3" wide it would block out one if not more of my T5's.

That's my problem - how does one add moon lights w/o wiping out the existing lights? I may have to make my own......Suggestions?

I have seen the all actinic ones in action and man are they cool! They provide a nice shimmer. They also can be tilted so that in most cases they would not block out your day lights. Also the colors on these are really top notch, bringing out colors I do not get w/ my actinic bulbs on my t5 nova extreme. I will be getting them as soon as money comes in. The guy at the LFS said that another store uses only these leds to light their tanks.

carefull how many LED's you choose...I have 4 in my 48" T5 fixture...And I think it is a bit bright...maybe alternate a blue and a white

wouldn't the whites brighten it up even more than the blues?

boomer - are you talking about 4 individual LED's or 4 LED fixtures (I've seen them with 4+ LED's in them).

I have installed this on my tank and I'm very happy, takes up very little room and can be dimmed with a variable power supply.

There are lots of makes on the market just type in LED adhesive waterproof strip.

Those are great ideas - now I have more options than ever. What colors do you suggest? I was thinking blue but I think I saw some actinic.....
