I have had a 3.5 inch maxima clam for 2 months now and he is always gapping at night. I had a water quality issue a month ago and it is back to normal now for 3 weeks. Ca 400, alk 4, pH 8.3
temp 78-80
salinity 1.023-1.025
Lighting is a single 150watt MH in a 32 cube tank.
All of my other clams are doing really good just this maxima is gapping and only at night when the light comes on it closes the sophonal part of the mantle closes back to normal.
Its really wierd.
All of the clams are light reactive.
Any thoughts?
