I have a point and shoot as well that i mainly got for fishing since its water proof and when taking pics of my tank its really hard to capture the actinic lighting without having the pics all blue. My suggestion is if you have any picture editing software, such as the cheap microsoft window gallery thing or if your camera came with any software, go into the program and usually you can mess with the colors of the picture and try to mess with it until it looks somewhat like what you see in person. I know that on the windows picture editing stuff you change the color temperature to make it less blue.
