i went through this exact thing, except dead in the middle of summer a couple years back. it was brutal. heaters were on all day till about 5 or 6 pm. temp got up to 135 degrees. while the heaters were cranking up, the guys also took steam jets and steamed all the bed seams and nooks and crannies. then periodically they'd go inside to measure for "cold spots" and re-adjust the heaters to make sure everything got up to the required temp. i did not envy those guys, though i guess coming back outside where it was 90 probably felt relatively refreshing.
by midnight the house was still 95+ degrees inside with all windows/doors open and fans going. finally gave up and turned on the AC praying it wouldn't blow up from working so hard.
i also broke down my 40 breeder (thankfully it wasn't a big tank) the day before as well and put everything in rubbermaid bins. everything survived fortunately, but what a pain.
anytime we travel we also check the beds. luggage goes immediately into the bathroom tiled floors (apparently bed bugs don't hang out in the bathroom). and we never use the luggage racks that are provided in the rooms.
good luck. i know your pain. on the plus side, for a good 6 months after there were no bugs anywhere in the house- everything got toasted. best of all, no bed bugs! there is light at the end of the tunnel!
