*Nighttime PowerHeads*

Can you turn a couple of the powerheads off at night, to simulate calmer water at night in the sea? Will this affect detritus buildup much?

I don' t think oceans are more calm at night.

Depending on how much flow you have, the fish might like calmer currents at night - your coral may not if it feeds at night.

Tidal currents vary significantly with strength. Generally speaking the current can be "slower", but yes, corals may feed etc...

Something to try I suppose. I agree with the coral feeding though. Forgot about that... Oh well.

I would just keep them on, there are wave makers that do this though, but turn them on/off randomly.
