Nikon D40, anyone have this? please help!

My wife just got me this camera but i cant figure out how to get close up's or macro shots

I'm a complete novice with camera's and have no clue what i'm doing? Can anyone give me some help PLEASE?

Check my two posts with pics to see what you can do with your Nikon D40.

You have to:

* Clean the glass
* Use a tripod because of long exposures
* Take a lot of pics
* Read a lot and
* Practice, practice and more practice.
