Nikon D50 macro lense.

I am hoping to order my D50 this weekend and I found a lens that I saw some pics with. Here it is

When you step into the DSLR realm, lens quality is everything. The fact that it's less than $40 should be a huge red flag. However, at that price it might be worth a try but I certainly wouldn't expect greatness from it.

I know that cheap lenses are a risk but I saw this lense priced more expensive on other websites. And I also saw some nice pics of someones reef on here but wanted to see more pics. Thanks.

What is an upgrade from the kit lens? Like an all-around lens. thanks

nikkor's 28-105mm w/ macro function is both serviceable as a macro lens and as a walk around though it can't quite get enough on the wide end w/ the 1.5 crop factor, however, for the $250.00 you can get it at bhphoto.com ... it's a steal. A great lens on a digital nikon.
