My parents bought a Nikon D5100 camera in a kit at Costco. I have always kind of wanted to get a DSLR camera as I am used to point and shoot but I can't find out if this is a "good" camera or not. I am wondering what everyone thinks of this camera? While they are planning on using it for vacation, I was hoping to use it to take macro shots of my aquariums and general macro photography. As a camera that isn't auto-focus, I know that lenses can be very expensive and it doesn't help that I'm a teenager. Perhaps there is a lense that you guys could also suggest what, in your experience/opinion, is good yet fairly inexpensive? I have already read the sticky about lenses. Thank you!
