I'm afraid your question is both too specific and too general. It's too specific in that there's no big difference between shooting with a D70 and pretty much any other DSLR on the market. And it's far too general in that we don't even know what you're shooting. And even if we did, there are so many variable in any type of general photography (sports, portraits, aquarium, etc.) that it would take a book to answer such an open-ended question. Plus, we have no idea what your current knowledge level is.
My suggestion would be to start off with getting a baseline knowledge of photography. A book like Understanding Exposure by Bryan Petersen or Scott Kelby's books (I can't remember what his intro to photography books are called) would be a good start. After that, you'll have the knowledge to ask something more specific. You can also read the stickies at the top of this forum, but if you don't already have a basic understanding of photography, they probably won't be all that helpful.
