I know there is a ton of Nitrate reducing methods, but I want to know what you guys use and what you think is the best.

For some reason i cant get my 180 FOWLR down past a certian point of Nitrate and was trying to figure the best way to reduce the Nitrate. I am adding a 40 gallon refugium with a DSB and Mangroves so hopefuly this will help.

Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I just set up a reverse-flow media chamber with Seachem's deNitrator product...we'll see how well it works...Seachem say it should take about 3 weeks with low-flow (50 gph)

my DIY denitrator brought my tank from 25ppm to 5ppm in a week. Now my tank NO3 is undetectable. Before I put 5G RDSB but I didn' t see it help probably I didn' t have enough patience and 5G is too small for my tank (I cannot fit bigger than 5G bucket). I removed 5G RDSB moved things around and managed to place 20G fuge, it helps but slowly(since 20G fuge isn't big enough) and came across DYI denitrator and gave it a try; bump within a week after the unit cycled my nitrate was <5ppm from 25ppm and now it's undetectable ( don't know exactly since when) but I have it less than a month now).
