go to the at www.o-r-c-a.org and look at the sponser pages for dti. he makes items for the aquariums. i used one of his denitraters and was able to take mine down from 160 to 20 in 3 days. keep in mind that the denitrater was already cured from another persons tank. a new one will take some time to get dialed into your system. if he does not reply to your post on there reply back to this and i'll get you his cell phone number
First thingds first, perform at least a 50% water change to keep the damage minimal. Secondly, what is the cause of the nitrates?
Thirdly, determine correction method. Sulfur based de-nitrators work awesome if properly set-up and maintained. The unit made by davy182 on the ORCA site work very well.
Check the link before it gets modded http://www.o-r-c-a.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewforum&f=25
